La ceremonia fue la número 30 en su haber y se realizó en el Hangar Barker, en el Aeropuerto de Santa Monica, California. Originalmente se llevaría a cabo el 12 de enero de este año, pero debido a los incendios ocurridos en Los Angeles, se pospuso dos veces. Durante el evento, se reconoció el trabajo de los bomberos.
La anfitriona, por tercer año consecutivo, fue la actriz y comediante, Chelsea Handler.
Conclave y Wicked contaron con la mayor cantidad de nominaciones en la categoría de cine, con 11 cada una; le siguieron Dune: Part Two y Emilia Pérez, con 10 cada una.
Emilia Pérez, Wicked y The Substance, ganaron 3 premios cada una; Challengers y Conclave, se adjudicaron 2 preseas cada una.
En televisión, la serie Shōgun lideró con 6 nominaciones. Abbott Elementary, The Diplomat, Disclaimer, Hacks, The Penguin y What We Do in the Shadows, obtuvieron 4 cada una.
Shōgun obtuvo 4 premios; Hacks, 3; mientras que The Penguin y Baby Reindeer, 2 trofeos cada una.
