Critics Choice Awards #25: Los Nominados.
Scorsese lidera con 14 nominaciones para El irlandés.
Se han dado a conocer los nominados para la próxima entrega de los premios Critic’s Choice Awards, entregados por la Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) –o Asociación de Críticos de Norteamérica- y que se consideran un buen precursor para los premios Oscar.
“El irlandés” de Martin Scorsese tiene la delantera con 14 nominaciones; entre ellas, la de Mejor Película. Una sorpresa es la adición de Quentin Tarantino, quien tiene 12 menciones por “Érase una vez… En Hollywood”. “Mujercitas” (Little Women) de la directora Greta Gerwig, ostenta 9.
Los nominados a 8 premios son: Sam Mendes con “1917”, James Mangold con “Contra lo imposible” (Ford v Ferrari) y Noah Baumbach con “Historia de un matrimonio” (Marriage Story).
“Jojo Rabbit” de Taika Waititi, “Joker” de Todd Phillips y “Parasite” de Bong Joon-ho pelean en 7 categorías.
Los “Premios de Opción de la Crítica”, han predicho a los ganadores del Oscar para mejor película en 6 ocasiones desde el año 2009 y en 7, en la categoría a mejor actor. La BFCA y la Academia de Cine y Artes de Estados Unidos no comparten críticos ni jueces, pero sí tienen gustos en común.
En cuanto a televisión, la serie corta de Netlfix, “When They See Us”, cuenta con 6 nominaciones, mientras que “This Is Us” (NBC) y “Schitt’s Creek” (Pop TV), tienen 5 cada una. Como productora, Netflix se encuentra a la cabeza con 61 menciones y su más cercana competidora, HBO, cuenta con 33. Amazon ostenta el tercer lugar con 14.
Los ganadores de la edición número 25 serán anunciados el próximo domingo 12 de enero de 2020. La ceremonia se llevará a cabo en el Hangar Barker en el Aeropuerto de Santa Monica, California y serán transmitidos por la cadena CW en Estados Unidos y por TNT en Latinoamérica.
